When Elsa Met Toothless

Just something I'd thought I'd draw while HTTYD2 was in hype.

I might be the only one on Earth who thinks that movie is just alright. Don't get me wrong, I love the first movie. It was perfectly fine and entertaining the way it was, so why continue on the story except for the purpose of showing even more dragons? Not only that, the plot was complicated and the character designs awkward.

Of all the animation studios having fallen into the 3D trap, Disney, in my opinion, is the only one that has really adapted well. Pixar doesn't count because they've always been 3D considering they first started out doing special effects and that they were the ones who started 3D animation in the first place. I would include Dreamworks, but their signature style is really based from the Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda franchises, and not so much from The Prince of Egypt nor The Road to El Dorado.

Tangled, to me, is not at all an awkward transition from their signature 2D style. It really felt like I was watching one of their timeless classics. The Book of Life, on the other hand, El Tigre in 3D...weird. -_-

Sorry for getting of topic there. '^~^ It's just that Frozen has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY  better animation, character and background designs and expressions than Dragons 2, but that's just my opinion.
