Julie Andrews
A graphite pencil portrait of one of my female heroes, a quite underrated entertainer.
She is talented, classy, dignified, charming, funny, adorable, kind, warm, humble, down-to-earth, overall, practically perfect in every way. :3
Everyone talks about her golden performances in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, and honestly, who could blame them? But little do they realize that she has been in a number of films that are not so family-friendly. But at least for those roles she's had, she's been treated well. Perhaps most don't consider her as a megastar because she's never been slandered by the tabloids and Hollywood media for the common problems with fame and fortune that most celebrities endure. At any point in her life, I highly doubt she's ever binged on alcohol, even attempted to do drugs, or have had any numerous affairs at once nor had multiple marriages.
While I'm no actress or singer, she inspires me to be a more bright, quick-witted, gutsy woman. Surely you'll see what I mean if you've seen any of her interviews. I hope to God to meet this incredible gem of a lady one day, but I'd better hurry, for she'll turn eighty next year. o_o But then again, she's still so healthy and thriving through and through so I suppose I've got nothing to worry about. ^^
